“On the Bainbridge-Seattle ferry, wind excites vibrations in the railings (I think) at the front of the boat, which go up and down the harmonic series as the wind intensity changes.

A better recording could be made with access to the highest level of the boat (usually not  available to passengers) and a real windscreen.

Recorded 2014 June 15.”
