Next deadline: January 15, 2017
What: Composers of all ages, nationalities, and genres are encouraged to submit music to Composer’s Toolbox, for analysis and publicity.
Composer’s Toolbox is a website that focuses on the technical aspect of composing, at every stage and level of the compositional process. Selected works will be used to demonstrate effective uses of compositional techniques in contemporary music.
What do you get out of this? You will be featured on a website that has thousands of page views each month, with an ever-growing readership. Your work will serve as an example of useful tools that we composers can utilize in our process.
How to submit your work:
One submission per deadline, please. (Send us your best work!) The current deadline is listed above. Send an email to [email protected] with the following:
- Link to file-sharing system (eg. DropBox, Google Drive, etc.) with score and/or program notes. It is okay to send works without a score as long as there is some documentation. For example, a fixed audio media piece with program notes is permissible. Do not attach files.
- Link to streaming audio recording/fixed media (eg. SoundCloud, YouTube, Vimeo, etc.). Do not attach files. Do not link to MIDI realizations.
- Link to your website/online presence (eg. social media). This is not required.
- Link to a headshot or other image pertinent to the piece (be sure you have copyright permissions), if you would like it used. Do not attach files. This is not required.
There is no submission fee.
We look forward to examining the compositional tools used in your featured work.
Regards,
Dan at Composer’s Toolbox
