As one more addition to the metal theme this week, here is a track with a more mainstream, clean-cut structure.  Truth Teller’s song “Knife” is a thrilling, energizing tune that is texturally clear while not being simple, and dark while not being a mere bout of screaming.  The feel is one of early 2000s hard rock fused with modern metal.  The chorus definitely fits the Bon-Jovi “don’t bore us, get to the chorus” feel and catchiness, but the verses and other components are just as memorable.  Alternating between speeding passages and lyrical sections, “Knife” has a little bit of something for every lover of the heavy stuff.  The video is also really well produced.
