Composer’s Toolbox is looking to feature music composed by living composers as music reviews on https://composerstoolbox.com/. Each review will be featured on the homepage of Composer’s Toolbox and will be promoted on social media.

After hundreds of reviews showcasing great music by bands, solo artists, composers, and other musicians that was submitted without a score, this endeavor pivots to focus on notated music, whether by score, lead sheet, or in the case of acousmatic music, detailed textual notes. Graphic and nontraditional scores are perfectly acceptable; please no screen captures of DAWs, though.

The goal is to promote the creation of composed music in today’s society and provide feedback to composers.

The purpose of this submission form is to promote the creation of composed music in today’s society and give feedback.

While I cannot guarantee that your music will be featured on the blog, I will respond with feedback to ALL submissions that follow the guidelines. By submitting your music, you attest that:

1. You own the copyright to this music.
2. You composed this music.
3. Only music with a SCORE or LEAD SHEET is accepted. If you do not have a score or lead sheet, your submission will NOT be reviewed. Acousmatic pieces without a score are allowed if detailed program notes are included.
4. You consent to having this music shared on Composer’s Toolbox, if selected.
5. You are aware that there are NO RESTRICTIONS on prior experience, age, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, religion, or any other form of protected class or identification. Any composer may submit their music.
6. You acknowledge that recordings with real musicians are highly preferred. Highly realistic MIDI performances, including NotePeformer and sample library mockups, are accepted.
7. This is an ongoing call for music. You agree to limit your submissions to ONE SUBMISSION per month. Send me your BEST work!
8. You acknowledge that submission has NO ENTRY FEE, but does not award any prize or performance. The purpose of this submission form is to promote the creation of composed music in today’s society, and give feedback.
9. You are over the age of 18 or have parental permission to publish your name online. (If you are under 18, please provide such permission via the Program Notes text box in the submission form.)
10. You will use only this form to submit music. DIRECT EMAIL SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE REVIEWED.
