A commentary on the #MeToo movement, “Keeper” by The Secret Things weaves a modern-day Nirvana ballad that is distinct and poignant.  Adding in hints of Muse, Audioslave, Incubus, and a little bit of metal, the song features a skilled and articulate vocalist, subtle but effective string scoring, and a powerful backing of guitars, bass, and drums.  The mix is not overly compressed nor too loud, which is refreshing.  Instead, the harmonies and the message pack the punch.  Striking back at sexual abuse and misconduct (to put the terms mildly), in a particular way only they can do, The Secret Things shows us what they really think of the media and music industry’s abuse of power.
