“Autumn” – Kaki

Kaki’s composition “Autumn” is a precisely-mixed work featuring a film-score-like atmosphere that boasts a fusion of the acoustic-sounding and clearly electronic, with cascades of reverb and vibrant harmonics.  The chord progression used is not a typical one, and forms a mesmerizing sky at twilight as the earth cools and autumn sets in.  Not a soundscape, this is a tune that drifts into each section, mostly relying on a loop but not  very noticeably due to the orchestration and use of interjecting instruments across the stereo spectrum.  As autumn sets in, this work is a reminder to get outside, breathe in the cool air, and let the heat of summer give way to the relaxing chill (no pun intended, believe it or not).
